Hello I’m Owen and for the past ten years I have been employed with School Employer Connections (formerly Fosec) as Work Experience Programme Manager. During this time I have successfully established links between schools and employers, not only in the North West, but also across Northern Ireland. I have gained considerable expertise in this area and have acted as an advisor and advocate throughout. A lot of time and effort has been spent during this time developing relationships and structures, organising, planning and implementing over 10,000 work experience placements on behalf of our secondary schools in conjunction with hundreds of employers from all employment sectors.

With a range of experience in the engineering and manufacturing sector, I am uniquely placed to represent the sector. I have a range of qualifications, training and employment in the sector and many years experience working in a variety of roles including Work Study Officer/Industrial Engineer, Warehouse & Distribution Manager and as a Quality Control Manager. I bring all my expertise, experience, knowledge and competence to this new role, enabling young people to avail of opportunities that will influence their decision making on which future career path to follow.
